Guidelines for Cleaning Your Hyperbaric Chamber

With the continuing concern of coronavirus COVID-19, we are providing the following guidelines and recommendations for using, cleaning and disinfecting your Perry or Bara-Med hyperbaric chamber.

Recommendations for Chamber Use

  1. Stagger patient start times by no less than 15 minutes. This will prevent exposing one patient to another in the common area.
  2. Disinfect the inside and outside of the chamber with Asepti-HB after every patient use.
  3. Disinfect the sphygmomanometer, thermometer, and other VS equipment after every use. Please view the attached three minute video for complete instructions.
  4. Tech should be wearing gloves and a mask while working with patients pre/post HBO

Recommended Cleaner

Asepti-HB should be an effective disinfectant for Covid-19, since it’s in the coronavirus family, as long as it’s allowed to air dry for at least 10 minutes.
